What KAI costs
A credit is a page. Not a document, not a token — a page. A page holding twelve receipts costs the same as one holding a single receipt, and a 40-page PDF costs forty.

What a page costs you
Two kinds of extraction, priced differently because they are different work.
Into a spreadsheet
1credit a page
Named values read off the page into the columns you chose.
As readable text
2credits a page
The whole page transcribed, for contracts, notices and minutes.
You are charged only when an extraction succeeds. A document the quality check turns away, a run that fails, and a run you cancel all cost nothing.
The things worth knowing before you pay
- Nothing renews itself
- KAI stores no card and takes nothing automatically. A plan runs for 30 days and stops. Paying again before it ends adds 30 days to what is left rather than replacing it, so paying early costs you nothing.
- A plan’s pages last the month
- A plan gives you its pages for 30 days. Pages you have not used by the end of that month are not carried into the next one, so pick the plan that matches what you actually put through. Anything you have already extracted stays yours and stays readable — a plan buys the pages, the seats and the download for the month it runs.
- Mobile money or card
- Payment is handled by Lenco, in Kwacha. KAI never sees your card number or your mobile money PIN.
- Start without paying
- Every new workspace begins with 50 free pages — enough to put real invoices through it and see what comes back before any money changes hands.
- Exporting is part of a plan
- On the free trial you can upload, extract, correct and read everything — the whole product, on your own documents. Sending a sheet to Excel or CSV, and a document to Markdown or plain text, needs a plan that is running: it switches on with your first payment and off again if a month ends without a renewal. Everything you have extracted stays yours and stays readable either way, and renewing switches the download back on.

Questions
Columns, handwriting, blurred photos, colleagues and payment — answered plainly.
Put your own documents in front of it.
A workspace takes a minute to create and starts with 50 free pages, so you can find out on your own invoices rather than on a promise.
